Nienke Plas no longer shows sons on social media

Nienke Plas and her partner Resley will no longer share their sons Frenky-Dean (7) and Novi-Jaxx (1) on social media. The couple announced the decision in a YouTube video.
The decision did not happen overnight. “We have something we wanted to tell and this seemed like a good day,” Nienke Plas begins her story.

Resley and Nienke have had ‘pretty crazy days’. Yvonne Coldeweijer and Juicechannel claimed that Resley cheated on her a while ago. “This has made us realize that there really is a difference between the online world and the offline world. This was tough for us as adults,” Resley said. He is glad that their children did not experience the media storm. “In this case, Novi-Jaxx is too young, but Frenky-Dean is old enough to get it. That didn’t happen, but I really want to watch out for that, because this was really bizarre.”

The couple now understands very well that other (famous) people keep their children out of the spotlight. “I just don’t want the kids in our socials anymore,” Resley said. “I really look at it differently.” Nienke says that they have been thinking about it for some time, but that it was also fun to portray the children. “Because we also get very enthusiastic about fun moments. And sharing fun moments is just fun. But this has made us realize: if this comes to you as adults. You want to save and protect your children from this. That is the choice we made.”

Not a tough decision
The two emphasize that it is not a heavy or heavy decision at all. “I just don’t want to expose my child to all this social media violence,” Resley says. “Let us kids be good kids. That we are known is one thing, but let the kids figure it out for themselves.”
