There are often reports about new smartphones on the internet. Today it is the turn of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which we can expect next year. A usually knowledgeable source is now sharing information about the three new devices.

Information about the Galaxy S22 series

At the beginning of this year, Samsung announced the Galaxy S21 series. Later this year we expect another Galaxy S21 FE, as we also saw the very interesting Galaxy S20 FE with the S20 series. However, it is never too early to start talking about the entire new series. One leaker has now shared information about certain features of the Galaxy S22 models.

The information comes from Ice Universe and is more often able to share information about new devices at an early stage. This time it concerns the three devices from the Galaxy S22 series. The resource shares information about the screen, camera, and battery. It seems that the design will largely match that of the Galaxy S21 series, but precise details about it have not been shared.

We start with the screen. Only the Ultra gets a QHD+ resolution; on the other two models; on the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+, this is a Full-HD+ resolution, all three with a 120Hz refresh rate. Then the screen sizes; they come in at 6.06 inches for the Galaxy S22, 6.55 inches for the Plus and 6.81 inches for the Ultra. The S21 series came in sizes at 6.2 inches (S21), 6.7 inches (S21+) and 6.8 inches (S21 Ultra).

Then there is news about the camera of the devices. The Galaxy S22 and S22+ get the same camera setup. This concerns a 50-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. With the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra we come across a 108 megapixel main camera. It is assisted by a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel periscope lens with a 10x optical zoom.

We can also already report information about the battery capacity. According to the same source, the S22 will have a 3800 mAh battery, the S22+ will have a 4000 mAh battery and a 5000 mAh battery will be in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Another source also reports that Samsung will opt for a Snapdragon 898 chipset for the three devices from the S22 series. Due to low yields and production problems, Samsung would refrain from using its own Exynos 2200 chipset.
