DIRECTOR DE KLERCK AND THE ELIMITED DEATH
Detective De Klerck and the elusive death is the third part in a detective series about Lucien de Klerck and his assistant Ruben Klaver of the Rotterdam criminal investigation department.
On a winter morning, when a thick bank of fog obscures Rotterdam, De Klerck cycles through Delfshaven. He sees a patrol car at a house on Voorstraat. A murder victim has just been found. At least, that’s what the cleaning lady who called the emergency number claims. De Klerck enters the building. To his astonishment, a violent fire breaks out at that moment. Once the fire department has extinguished the fire, no one can find a corpse or an arsonist. Was there a murder, or was his report and fire a macabre joke? De Klerck and Klaver are faced with riddles that are difficult to solve.
