New Tchibo offer is aimed at e-car drivers

Together with Vattenfall, Tchibo is now offering a wall box for e-cars at a special price. Customers only have to pay 99 euros instead of 1,189 euros for “Charge Amps Halo”. The Wallbox is available in combination with a Vattenfall tariff – and customers should do the math here.

Tchibo sells wall boxes for e-cars

Together with the energy company Vattenfall, Tchibo has launched a new offer in which the Wall box “Charge Amps Halo” for 99 euros are. The delivery time should be a maximum of four weeks, and customers have to pay for the installation themselves. The “Natur24 Strom Wallbox” contract must be concluded with Vattenfall together with the wall box, which comes with a price guarantee for up to 24 months.

The minimum term of the green electricity tariff is two years. The energy company gives the consumption price 44.37 cents per kilowatt hour why customers should do the math before deciding on the offer including the wall box. The basic price is 17.90 euros per month. The prices mentioned may vary depending on where you live and consumption.

Customers can optionally sign up for a Vattenfall charging card and app decide. The e-car can be supplied with electricity at over 90,000 charging points at a fixed price. The price is 45 cents per kilowatt hour for AC charging and 59 cents per kilowatt hour for fast DC charging (source: Tchibo).

According to Tchibo, the Wallbox KfW eligible. However, the important caveat here is that funding for private households has been discontinued. Companies and municipal companies, freelancers and non-profit organizations are still eligible to apply.

Tchibo: Wallbox has an output of 11 kilowatts

The electric car can be supplied with 11 kilowatts with the wall box installed at the house. A 40 kWh battery would be fully operational again after 5.5 hours. Control is via appan RFID card protects against unauthorized use.

The package includes a charging cable with a type 2 plug that connects to a length of 7.5 m comes. According to Tchibo, the housing of the wall box is weatherproof (IP66) and made of recycled aluminium.
