New T-Mobile subscription lets you watch TV without a TV Box

T-Mobile customers can now also watch television without the need for a TV Box. Instead, the new plan works through the new T-Mobile TV app. It is also free to download for customers with an internet connection and TV subscription from T-Mobile.

We live in a time when we are used to streaming series on the big screen via a Chromecast or smart TV, and T-Mobile Netherlands has also understood that well. With the new T-Mobile TV app you can now watch on a smart TV without a TV Box. You then pay 12.50 euros per month instead of 15 euros per month with such a set-top box, the provider announces that.

T-Mobile TV is available for Android TV models from Sony and Philips, among others, as long as they work with Android TV 8 or a later version. In addition, the app can also be found on Samsung smart televisions. The app is not yet available on TVs from LG’s WebOS system and on TVs with other smart platforms. It already works on the NVIDIA Shield TV, on Apple TV 4 and various Xiaomi set-top boxes.

According to T-Mobile, the new subscription should provide a solution for those who have several televisions at home and do not want to install a TVB Box everywhere. On the other hand, it also helps to get rid of cables around your TV and extra remote controls.

Watch on 4 TVs at the same time

It is possible to watch on a maximum of four televisions at the same time and it is also a requirement that you also have an internet connection from T-Mobile. The provider does this to prevent abuse. It wants to avoid that the new cheaper subscription is shared by several families.
