After several brands such as OnePlus and Samsung have already announced their own layer for Android 13, it is now Oppo’s turn. The brand presents ColorOS 13, which should offer a whole new experience for Android 13.
ColorOS 13
ColorOS 13 is the latest skin from Oppo that will be included with the Android 13 update. The layer has just been officially presented and so we find out which improvements the manufacturer has added to it. According to the brand, the skin is inspired by water in nature. The brand speaks here about the Aquamorphic Design. This results in a smooth, lively and complete interface, according to Oppo. The new theme palette is inspired by the changing color of light between sunrise and sunset. There is a new font that should improve readability. There’s also a card-style layout for a fresh look.
Always On Display
With innovative Aquamorphic effects in the interface, animations and more, you can enjoy the more intuitive user experience with better controls. A series of new screenshots for the Always On Display have been added, including Homeland, which shows you scenes of wildlife in nature. The screen animations show the climate changes of the environment in which the animals live, making users more aware of this. Numerous improvements have also been made in the background, which should result in a smoother and more stable system. The battery life should also be improved and more applications can continue to run in the background.
Smarter and more convenient
A range of smart features have been added in ColorOS 13. Information from music apps such as Spotify will now be displayed directly in the Always On Display. In addition, Bitmoji is also shown on this screen. Furthermore, for the home screen there are; larger folders, the Shelf, a home screen widget, and more. Online conferencing is also made better, as the Meeting Assistant can ensure that meetings are prioritized on the connection. In a small pop-up window, the Oppo Notes app can be opened for taking notes. With Android 13 attention has been paid to privacy and security and it is also possible in ColorOS 13 to blur screenshots and the sensitive parts of a photo with a tap on the screen.
According to Oppo, almost 35 models of the manufacturer should be updated with ColorOS 13 this year. It is the largest update plan ever in Oppo’s history. The rollout should begin today for the Find X5 Pro and Find X5. From 2023, ColorOS 13 will be rolled out to more than 20 other devices. The timeline of the update plans can be found below; although these may still differ regionally.
