Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan season 4

The fourth and final season of Tom Clancy’s CIA thriller Jack Ryan. I must admit that it took some getting used to for me. Anyone who, like me, only knows John Krasinski from The Office knows what I’m talking about. For three seasons I’ve been waiting for Jack Ryan to turn his head to the camera and make that one face. I have lost hope that it will happen in season 4, because Krasinski is clearly more than just a funny actor with good timing.

Jack Ryan began his career with the CIA as a humble analyst. A mission to Yemen, shootings with terrorists, a conspiracy in South America, a few tortures, of course hassle with a nuclear bomb from the former Soviet Union and a lot of “improvisation” further we can say that Ryan has been promoted to action hero.

Tom Clancy is a name that should be familiar to most. The Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger, The Sum of all Fears, all books by Clancy that have also been made into films. Jack Ryan is clearly one of Clancy’s favorite creations as he stars in all three stories. Ryan now actually has his own ‘cinematic universe’ called the Ryanverse. Do you know any of these movies and did you enjoy them? Then the Jack Ryan series is definitely something for you.

Episode 1 and 2 can be seen on June 30, 3 and 4 on July 7 and 5 and 6 on July 14. Check out the trailer below.

Good Omens Season 2

Good Omens is the film adaptation of a book that sprang from two of the most striking literary minds of recent decades: Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Both authors have a great opus. Pratchett is best known for his intensely funny Discworld series, you may know Gaiman from American Gods. Pratchett has meanwhile taken Death by the arm and walked together through the open door into the darkness, but fortunately Gaiman is still among us and is the helmsman of this series.

Archangel Gabriel (played by Jon Hamm) has disappeared. Now that is enough cause for concern on a normal day, it also seems that he has left for Earth. When news also reaches the sky that he has been spotted in the company of “traitor” Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant), the turnips are really well cooked.

Aziraphale wants to do his best to help Gabriel, but unfortunately that’s not easy. In addition to heaven, hell is also an involved party, and when those two camps set off, things always get messy. A good dose of good (read dry and bland) humor completes the recipe.

Good Omens will be available to stream on Prime Video from July 28. If you can’t wait, check out the trailer below.
