New Pixel 7 ad on YouTube shows zoom
Watch extra YouTube in the next few days (unless you’re on Premium), as there’s an ad on the video platform showing Google the Pixel 7’s photography prowess. In addition, there is also a glimpse of the new Pixel Watch.
Pixel 7 Photography
The photos of the Pixel 7 mainly show how well the phone can zoom. The example given is of someone about to take a dip in Barcelona, witness the Sagrada Familia in the background. Different zoom distances have been used and there is clear detail in every photo. The ad from YouTube naturally comes by randomly and goes pretty quickly, but luckily we do have the photos via Reddit. Google mainly seems to want to show that the Pixel 7 offers “more detail”, while also touting “more focus” and “more magic” (eraser).
The Pixel Watch app then, because that will also pass. We see the Now Playing screen of YouTube Music for Wear OS, Google Maps navigation, Google Wallet/Pay and taking a phone call. What stands out is how you can flip the Pixel Watch so that the crown is on the right instead of the left. Also very useful for left-handers. We also see a number of examples of watch faces, including a new one with an analog dial and two spots (weather and date).
Fitbit and Pixel Watch
It is also briefly shown that Fitbit is from Google, because the training interface is briefly discussed. You’ll see the rings on the edge that may represent heart zones (fat burn, cardio and peak), BPM (beats per minute) at the top, number of steps and two other stats. On the front of the band we see a woven band (?) in coral color. There is also a leather strap with lugs that are different from the rubber ones we are used to.
Other things highlighted in the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch ad include the Tensor G2 and quite a few Pixel Buds Pro shots.
