‘New MacBook Air 2022 is white, has M2 chip and mini LED’
The 2021 MacBook Pro changed spectacularly and the new MacBook Air is also one to look forward to. A reliable Apple nerd already knows about the MacBook Air 2022 innovations, including a 1080p webcam, white screen bezels and more.

MacBook Air 2022: what are the innovations?
The new MacBook Air has a design that is very similar to the new MacBook Pros, but is thinner and lighter. Insider says this @Dylandkt on Twitter, which has a good track record of Apple rumours. He already has a lot of information about the new Air.
“The next MacBook (Air) will be released in mid-2022,” he says. “It has MagSafe, a 1080p webcam, USB-C ports, a 30W charger and no fans.” The source also says that the color options are similar to the 24-inch iMac. It is available in green, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue and white. What they all get, according to Dylandkt, are white screen edges and a white keyboard.
The MacBook Air would be equipped with a new processor: the M2. It is not yet clear what its specifications are. You could also connect multiple external monitors to the Air: at least two. Furthermore, the Apple believes it is plausible that the MacBook Air 2022 has a mini LED screen.
Whether the MacBook Air has a notch like the MacBook Pro 2021 is still uncertain. However, the Air has to do without the ProMotion screen with 120 Hz. There is also still only one type of connection: USB-C. The HDMI port and SD card reader are therefore missing. Dylandkt expects Apple to increase the starting price of the MacBook Air. That means that the device will cost more than 1129 euros.
Previous MacBook Air 2022 Rumors
According to previous rumors, the M2 chip has the same number of processing cores as the M1 of the current MacBook Air has: eight. There are, however, more graphic cores: nine or ten instead of seven or eight. This makes the M2 seem less powerful than the M1 Pro and M1 Max, which are intended for more professional hardware.
