New in the NS app: shared bicycles from TIER
As of today, NS offers TIER electric shared bicycles for business travelers in the NS app. The shared bicycles are available at various locations in the Netherlands.

By offering all kinds of transport in one app, NS wants to make it easier and faster for passengers to travel from door to door. Public transport bicycles, among other things, are very suitable for this. Business travelers can now also opt for TIER’s electric shared bicycles in the NS app. These shared bicycles are available at various locations in Utrecht, Nieuwegein, Maarssen, Eindhoven, Veldhoven and Amersfoort.
For the first time, it is now possible for business travelers to use our app in the city to grab an electric shared bicycle and easily cycle to the station, office or another destination. You can find a bicycle in a few clicks, open it with the NS app and cycle away. We want to offer our travelers flexibility and one simple app that allows them to travel quickly and easily with all kinds of partial transport.
With the ‘In the Neighborhood’ function in the NS app, business travelers can easily find the location of nearby TIER shared bicycles. Travelers can easily start and end a bicycle ride from the app. All journeys made are clearly displayed in Mijn NS Zakelijk or NS Go. Invoicing is done automatically via the employer. It is expected that later this year all travelers will be able to plan, book and pay for TIER’s shared bicycles via the NS app.
