New Huawei operating system offers huge advantage on smartphones

Huawei wants to supply over 100 smartphones and tablets with HarmonyOS. This also includes a lot of old models that would actually no longer receive an update for Android, but receive the new operating system from Huawei. A key benefit in the performance of such smartphones has now been discovered.

HarmonyOS: Older smartphones run faster

While Android smartphones get slower and slower after a few years and updates, this should not be the case with HarmonyOS. Huawei’s own operating system should offer high performance for years and run well across all price ranges. A new phase of beta tests for HarmonyOS has started in China, where older smartphones are also supplied. Including not only models like the Huawei P20 Pro, which of course have enough power, but also models like the Nova 5, where it under Android to minor performance problems came. This is history with HarmonyOS (source: GizChina).

Accordingly, the Improve the performance of older smartphones “significantly”after switching from Android to HarmonyOS. It was only recently announced that HarmonyOS also uses less storage space on the phone. If the performance now also increases, that would be another solid reason to turn your back on Android. At the same time, it is generally a good signal for Huawei that HarmonyOS works so quickly and efficiently.

When is HarmonyOS coming to Germany?

So far, Huawei has limited itself to testing HarmonyOS for a wide variety of smartphones in China. When the new operating system will also start internationally, is so far unknown. In Germany, you can buy a Smartwatch with HarmonyOS with the Huawei Watch 3 Pro (for testing). A tablet is to follow soon. We can only hope that HarmonyOS will soon be launched with us so that we can benefit from the many advantages of the operating system. Since Android apps continue to work, there are no major disadvantages.
