Apple releases new betas

Apple has released another series of new betas for almost all of your Apple devices. These versions are intended for developers so that they can start using the new features right away. The betas, unlike previous test versions, reveal few new features. We list the changes for you.

New beta iOS 16.5

iOS 16.4 has only just been released, but Apple is already working hard behind the scenes on a new iOS update. The second test version for iOS 16.5 has now been released and it seems that it will not be a major update. We do know that Siri is getting a new function. The virtual assistant lets you make an iPhone screen recording with your voice from iOS 16.5.

In addition, it will be possible in Apple’s TV app to stream two screens at the same time if you are not in the app. Also known as picture-in-picture, this feature is now available with only one video at a time. Soon you will be able to watch two videos at the same time. Handy if, for example, two sports matches are broadcast at the same time.

iPadOS 16.5 beta 2

A new beta from Apple is also available for your iPad. iPadOS 16.4 appeared at the same time as iOS 16.4 and the updates often show many similarities. Not much is known about iPadOS 16.5 yet, but we expect to see roughly the same features as in iOS 16.5. In iPadOS 16.5 it will therefore also be possible to make screen recordings with Siri and AppleTV + will receive an update.

watchos 9.3 update

Betas for watchOS 9.5 and macOS 13.4 also available

A new beta from Apple is available for both your Apple Watch and your Mac. Little is (yet) known about the content of these test versions, so they are probably minor security and maintenance updates. Behind the scenes, a number of small things are being adjusted, but you as a user will not notice that much.
