New airline that is only for influencers
It can always get crazier: there is now a new airline that was founded to transport only influencers.
Influencers come in all shapes and sizes. The most popular vloggers earn tens of millions of dollars a year. They can also be found in the Netherlands, such as Enzo Knol. A company takes advantage of this by setting up an airline for influencers.
Airline for influencers
For anyone looking to bring their TikTok or Instagram following to Coachella but haven’t found a ride yet, a company has come up with a solution. Willa Air is a new airline targeting influencers only, and its first stop is Coachella
The young company is a Fintech startup that focuses on freelancers. Many of them are social media creators, as reported by CNBC. They make their money easily by receiving social content or money from brands and sponsors. The company is now launching “the world’s first influencer airline”, albeit on a very small scale. In 2021, the company raised $18 million in Series A funding and reported that it had a waiting list of more than 150,000 freelancers.
Destination
Coachella is a big party where all influencers want to be present. For starters, the inaugural one-hour flight to Coachella is free for 12 influencers who can sign up online to depart from the exclusive lounge in Venice Beach, California after meeting at the pre-flight champagne bar.
Aron Levin, co-founder and chief marketing officer at Willa issued a press release stating, “We launched Willa Air to provide ultra-fast and convenient travel for content creators heading to events across the US.” Levin added: “Willa was founded with a mission to help creators, and fast, seamless travel is one of the many ways we support our audience.”
