new 5G smartphone for only 180 euros

The price of smartphones with support for 5G continues to fall. TCL takes this one step further and comes with the TCL 20 R 5G, a 5G smartphone for 180 euros.

TCL’s portfolio has been expanded with a new smartphone called ‘TCL 20 R 5G’. Earlier, other devices appeared and the 20 SE passed in the TCL 20 SE review. The new device should make 5G available to an even larger group of consumers, in combination with a competitive price for the device. The TCL 20 R 5G comes with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.

At the front of the TCL 20 R 5G you will find a 6.52 inch HD+ display. Depending on the task, it can determine a refresh rate of 90Hz, 60Hz or 30Hz. The TCL has a 13 megapixel camera on the back, along with a macro and depth lens. TCL gives the device a fingerprint scanner, but unlocking is also possible through facial recognition.

For the TCL 20 R 5G, the manufacturer is immediately clear regarding the update policy. With validation as an Android Enterprise Recommended device, you can expect one Android OS update on the TCL. The security updates appear quarterly for a period of three years, which is pretty decent for this price.
