Netflix: Slovaks watched these movies and series the most last week

Popular streaming service Netflix publishes statistics every week showing which films and series in each country viewers search for the most. Today we have prepared for you a list of the most watched films and series in Slovakia for the period from 17 to 23 January 2022.

1. The Royal Treatment

In first place was a recent novel called The Royal Treatment, an American romantic film starring former Disney children’s children’s star Laura Marano, which starred as Manhattan hairdresser Izzy, who was given the opportunity to work on the prince’s wedding. Thomas, played by Aladdin Mena Massoud.

2. How I Fell in Love with a Gangster

For the second week in a row, the Polish gangster How I Fell in Love with a Gangster remained in the rankings. The story of a woman who tells the story of one of the most famous Polish gangsters. This genre is the most successful in Polish cinema in the last 20 years. The role of gangster was played by Tomasz Wlosok, who also played one of the main characters in the successful older gangster How I Became and Gangster. True Story.

3. Brazen

The crime drama Brazen was still in the first place of the most popular films last week. The story takes place in the life of Grace Miller, who solves several mysterious murders, including the death of her sister. The main tasks were performed by Alyssa Milano, whom Slovak viewers know from the series Witches.

4- Don´t Look Up

For five weeks now, the comedy Don Look Up has been on the charts with the well-known environmental activist Leonard DiCaprio in the lead role. The film tells the story of two astronomers trying to warn humanity of an incoming comet and the total extinction of humanity. Unfortunately, they run into conspirators and populist politicians who question the comet’s concerns and downplay the danger of its impact.

5. Riverdance: The Animated Adventure

In fifth place was an animated film with fantasy elements Riverdance: The Animated Adventure. The protagonist of the story is a young Keegan from Ireland who survived a sad loss. However, with the Spanish partner Moya and a magical herd of deer ghosts, thanks to the dance, they can handle dangerous and hopeless situations.

6. Munich – The Edge of War

A new historical drama, based on a book by R. Harris, was also one of the most watched films in Slovakia. The plot of the film takes place in the autumn of 1938, when a British official and a German diplomat meet by chance in Munich and start secretly planning how to avert the outbreak of war.

7. Cold Blood Legacy

The French action film Cold Blood Legacy premiered in 2019. The main role was played by the ageless Jean Reno. His character is an old assassin living in isolation in a cottage on the edge of the lake, where one day an injured girl appears.

8. Karel

The documentary Karel is dedicated to the greatest Czech music superstar of the last century, Karel Gott.

9. Back to the Outback

A children’s animated film about animals that have escaped from captivity and are looking for their place in the wild.

10. Red Notice

one of Netflix’s most expensive blockbusters, Red Notice, brought together acting stars Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds. They play an FBI expert or a pair of gangsters who join forces on an adventure quest for a lost treasure. The film has even confirmed two sequels.
