Bird Box Barcelona: Netflix continues horror hit
Just before Christmas 2018, Netflix released its new horror flick Bird Box – Close your eyes worldwide via the in-house streaming service. In the film, a group of survivors hole up in a house after a mysterious force has driven most of the people to suicide. Because these demons apparently take possession of their victims through simple eye contact and drive them insane, the survivors blindfold themselves to protect themselves from an untimely death whenever they come into contact with the outside world.
Bird Box turned out to be a tremendous success and was streamed to over 89 million households within the first six months (source: Spotlight: Movie). Since then, fans have been waiting for a sequel – and that wish will soon come true.
