‘My kids had been watching screens all night’

My husband and I were so maddened by the daily negotiation of screen times, whose turn it was to feed the rabbits and how many bites to eat of the vegetables they suddenly didn’t like, that we decided to switch roles for a day. to spin.

It went great. We had breakfast with lukewarm oven chips, donuts for lunch and after the leftover fries from that morning, Mika and Lynn put us to bed at eight o’clock at night. Where my husband and I secretly enjoyed a movie night with just the two of us, waiting to see how our kids would probably stay up until midnight.

The next morning at 7.30 we found Mika with the iPad in his hands. “Have you been looking at that all night?” I asked. ‘No,’ he said, ‘we also watched TV in between and played on the Playstation.’”
