‘My husband was less open-minded than I thought’
Lois wished she’d never confessed her slipper, so she wouldn’t be declared a cheater every time she quarreled.
Lois (33): “That I was suddenly kissing a fiercely attractive firefighter during my cousin’s bachelorette party is of course quite wrong. That is not allowed and not allowed, as a married woman and mother of two.
But after a few glasses of wine I thought it was super funny that this handsome guy called me a MILF and his proposal ‘let’s have a nice tongue’ seemed like a great idea. There was no sequel. We didn’t exchange numbers, as far as I’m concerned this was a one-time action. Good for my ego.

To confess
I did think that I should confess to Jannes, my husband. Half my cousin’s circle of friends had finally seen us and I estimated Jannes broad-minded. When we talked about fidelity, he always shouted, “You can be hungry outside the door, as long as you come home for dinner.”
But man, was I wrong. Jannes was furious. “Getting an appetite” apparently meant flirting, not kissing. We’ve been talking for weeks about my faux pas and it’s brought a lot of tears and misery.
It’s been a year now, but not a word or argument goes by without Jannes calling me a cheater. If only I had never told him.”
