Many of you have certainly noticed the competition called Being Healthy is a prize. Every vaccinated citizen of the Slovak Republic can participate in it. Just fill out the form on the official website. The winner is drawn every working day at the RTVS station, or every Sunday they play for big, premium prizes. Yesterday a situation arose that took the breath away not only of the spectators, but probably also of the staff itself.

The delayed broadcast on the Internet has become fatal for the winner of the Being Healthy competition is a win

After drawing a randomly vaccinated person by the invited guest and subsequent verification, the moderators will start calling the winner. If the person picked it up, there was a welcome interview. The lucky person is further asked to read the password on the screen. By reading this password, the editors will verify whether the viewer is really at the TV and watching the show. If he reads the password correctly within twenty seconds, the win is his. If this does not happen, he receives € 1,000 as “painful” for an unfortunate situation.

The problem in the recent broadcast was the unfortunate timer, which was too short for the winner, who does not have a TV at home and watched the broadcast via the Internet. It is known that Internet television has a significant delay compared to traditional broadcasting, which has become fatal for the owner. The password from the winner’s mouth was heard several times very shortly after the time expired, but it was too late. Apparently, the TV crew didn’t think about this, and they had no choice but to leave the prize for another lucky man who would be drawn next Sunday.

On the other hand, the competition rules mention that the announcer does not bear any responsibility for signal delays, which may occur, for example, on the Internet or even on conventional television. In any case, the unfortunate vaccinee would be particularly pleased if the timer were extended by at least another 10 seconds, so that even those who watch the show over the Internet have a chance.
