Those who are interested in an entry-level or mid-range cell phone often choose Samsung or Xiaomi. It used to be different, because there were really good Motorola cell phones that shook up the middle class. With the Moto G72, just such a Motorola cell phone is back. You get a lot of equipment for relatively little money.

Motorola Moto G72: 108 MP camera and OLED display for 279 euros

Motorola has been building more and more interesting Android smartphones for a few months. For example, with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, the company preempted Xiaomi and unveiled the first 200 MP smartphone. But even in the middle class, Motorola now wants to step on the gas and brings the Moto G72 to Germany for only 279 euros (look at Motorola). This has several premium features that you rarely get in a smartphone in this price range.

Motorola equips the Moto G72 with a 6.6-inch OLED display out, which supports Full HD+ and 120 Hz and should therefore display everything very smoothly. A fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display and face recognition is supported via the front camera. On the back, a 108 MP main camera is supposed to take high-resolution photos. The MediaTek Helio G99 processor is installed, which is supported by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The latter can be expanded using a microSD card. Android 12 is preinstalled as the operating system. The battery measures 5,000 mAh and can be quickly recharged with 30 watts. A 33 watt power adapter is included.

Motorola wants to charge smartphones completely wirelessly soon:

What is missing from the Motorola Moto G72?

Basically almost nothing. At 166 grams, you get a very light smartphone for the size and with the battery. You can also connect classic headphones and there is even an IP52 certification. So a rain shower is not a problem. Only the 5G modem and a wireless charging function are missing. If you can do without it, you get a surprisingly good smartphone for the price range with the Motorola Moto G72.
