Motorola Razr 2023 gets largest cover screen on a Flip smartphone
Motorola’s new folding flip phone gets the largest cover screen on a Flip smartphone to date. A boss of the brand confirms that the Motorola Razr 2023 will have a cover screen with a size of 3.5 inches.

In a post on Weibo, an executive of Lenovo’s mobile branch announced that the Motorola Razr 2023 will have a 3.5-inch cover screen. With this, the device will have the largest cover screen on a folding phone to date. Just for comparison: the cover screen of the OPPO Find N2 is 3.26 inches and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 only has a 1.9-inch cover screen and serves more as a notification panel. The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 will probably get a 3.4-inch screen.
The larger such a screen is, the more you can do with it. According to Motorola, it should be possible to run third-party apps on the screen. The smartphone must also be able to fully display all notifications on this screen, so you no longer have to open the device for this. We also saw an applauncher on previous leaked images. So the panel really seems to serve as a full screen instead of just a notification panel.
Motorola Razr 2023 launch
According to previous rumors, the Motorola Razr 2023 will be launched this June. The device will most likely run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and have a 6.7-inch Full HD+ panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The phone should run on Android 13 out of the box and have two cameras. It will probably be about a 64 MP main camera and a 13 MP wide-angle lens.
The phone is also made of aluminum (frame), glass (back) and plastic (screen). Nothing is known about the price yet.
