Motorola is working on a new top device after the Edge 30 Pro that our tester Mathieu examined this month. The Motorola Frontier stands apart from the brand’s top-of-the-line Edge devices and it stands out for its remarkable camera setup. It would be the first Android phone to use a 200MP camera sensor.
A first photo of the Motorola Frontier has now been leaked on Chinese social media. What stands out is the huge main camera with two smaller sensors underneath. It is noticeable that the camera island is relatively larger than what was previously seen in renders. The camera also clearly comes out of the housing. Unfortunately, we don’t get a picture of the front of the phone.
Leaked specs
The Motorola Frontier uses a 200MP Isocell HPO1 sensor from Samsung. It is also already known that the device will have a 6.67-inch OLED screen that will have clearly curved edges. The panel has a high refresh rate of 144 Hz and the selfie camera is known to be a 60 MP one.
The flagship engine is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and the phone comes with different storage variants. The most powerful model has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Motorola will equip its Frontier with a 4,500 mAh battery that you can charge with a 125W fast charger.
The first rumors about the Motorola Frontier already appeared in January, but at that time we did not see any images of the device. What do you think of the Frontier? Does it sound promising or are you mainly curious about the price tag? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
