Motorola Edge 40 Pro gets Snapdragon 8 Gen 2: more specs leaked

Motorola is working behind the scenes on the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The device will succeed the current Motorola Edge 30 Pro. What does the new smartphone have to offer?

In October, Motorola introduced the new models in the Motorola Edge 30 series; the Edge 40 series is now in the starting blocks. It is not entirely clear when we can expect these new devices, but there is now new information. Previously, news came out about the Motorola X40 with the quad-curved screen, now there is even more information about the company’s smartphone, which will succeed the current Edge 30 Pro. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro specifications that have surfaced are revealed by Yogesh Brar, a source who often shares information from the telecom world.

The current Motorola Edge 30 Pro

The Motorola will be equipped with the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the brand new high-end processor. In addition, the device comes in configurations of 8, 12 and 16GB of RAM. For storage space, Motorola has planned the version with 128, 256 and 512GB. The Edge 40 Pro continues on the market with a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. There is also a triple camera. This consists of a 50MP main lens, a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The latter offers 2x optical zoom. The main lens is equipped with optical image stabilization. A 60-megapixel front camera is placed at the front. as we saw earlier with the Edge 30 Ultra.

Finally, there is also something to report about the battery and charging the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The smartphone will receive a 4610 mAh battery from the brand, along with support for 125W charging. Of course, the device comes on the market with Android 13, which also includes the handy MyUX interface. We expect the device in the spotlights next year, when is not yet known. Unfortunately, there are no photos of the device yet.
