Motorola Edge 40 Pro appeared in clear renders
We see images of a new Motorola smartphone that will be announced soon. The phone goes by two names; Motorola Edge 40 Pro and Motorola X40 Pro. In both cases it concerns the same device. What do we now know about the high-end model?
Motorola Edge 40 Pro renders
Renders have appeared online of Motorola’s new high-end smartphone. We are talking about the Motorola Edge 40 Pro about which information has already surfaced. There were also reports about the Motorola X40 Pro, which talked about a quad-curved screen; or a screen that continues on the four sides, but with the renders it is questionable whether this will indeed happen.
The renders of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro show a smartphone with a well-known Motorola design. We see a smartphone with a square camera module on the back of the device, which talks about two 50MP cameras (normal and wide angle) and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The Edge 40 Pro gets three lenses and an LED flash. At the front there is a 6.67 inch AMOLED screen, presumably with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. We will also see the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and there is talk of a maximum of 12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage space. The battery will have a capacity of 5000 mAh with a 68W charger; where this charging power is slightly lower than the 125W than with the Edge 30 Ultra.
Based on the information known so far, the dimensions of the phone are also known. They would come out at 161.3 x 73.9 x 8.6 millimeters. At the camera module, the phone would be 10.8 millimeters thick. Motorola supplies the device with a glass back. The smartphone is expected to be announced for the Chinese market in December, but will not be presented in Europe until early 2023, for example.
