Moto X40 and G53 with 5G presented: details at a glance

Motorola has announced two smartphones. Today we are introduced to the Moto X40 and the Moto G53. The latter brings 5G to the affordable segment.

Motorola with Moto X40

Motorola has presented a new high-end smartphone. The smartphone is the Moto X40. This device is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the latest processor from Qualcomm. We also see a 165Hz display with a size of 6.7 inches. We see a Full-HD + resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

The 125W charger ensured that the 4600 mAh battery was half charged again in 7 minutes. The camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel portrait lens with 2x zoom. You can take selfies with the 60-megapixel front camera. The device comes from the factory with Android 13 with My UI 5.0. The device also has an IP68 certification.

Moto G53

We are also introduced to the new Motorola Moto G53. The mid-range device also gets 5G, where the current model, the G52, only had 4G. The new phone from Motorola will have a 6.5-inch HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Moto G53 has an 8 megapixel front camera, on the back is a 50 megapixel main lens, along with a 2 megapixel macro lens.

Moto G53

Motorola gives the Moto G53 a microSD memory card slot and a 3.5 millimeter jack for a headset. There is also a choice of 4GB or 8GB of RAM. The storage space in both cases is 128GB.

Availability

For now, Motorola has only presented the smartphones for the Chinese market. We also expect the smartphones in Europe in the foreseeable future; but when is the question. Motorola is expected to release the X40 here as Edge 40 (Pro).
