Mother of All Secrets – -apkrig

This year, the Russian studio Sever presented itself with the excellent story game The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante, which Vašek gave a well-deserved nine for her original world, strong characters, well-written script and beautiful appearance of the book.

The developers are not lazy and they are already working on their next game Mother of All Secrets. At first glance, it resembles a game more than the “gamebook” Sir Brante, and it can immediately take an interest in the topic – you become an orphan in an orphanage, which is shrouded in strange secrets with an occult undertone.

You get 14 days in the game to do practically anything. Then a mysterious guest arrives and no one knows what will happen … Therefore, you will be able to make friends and enemies from the various inhabitants of the estate, thwart other people’s plans and set in motion your own. It’s about time, not only days, but also hours, because with the stroke of each whole, all the gears in the background of the scene will turn again.

So far, we can only speculate whether the Mother of All Secrets will run in real time, or whether the big hand will move an hour further in some way you control. Unfortunately, the creators keep it to themselves for the time being.

Even the main game mechanism does not reveal much. You control the game with cards that represent your various actions, abilities, subjects, even dialogues. Apparently you have your package, which will probably change depending on how your personality will form and how new opportunities will appear. Other characters also have cards at their disposal and it will be important to observe their abilities and intentions in advance, as shuffling their decks will change their personality.

It definitely sounds interesting – I wish we had a demonstration that would really show it! We just have to wait. Mother of All Secrets will be released on computers sometime next year.
