Most expensive Netflix film of all time: Watch direct from Friday

Recently, Netflix had to contend with considerable difficulties. Nevertheless, or perhaps because of this, the most expensive self-produced film to date will be released on Friday (July 22nd). For the staging, two outstanding action directors who had previously made it rip at Marvel were brought in without further ado.

With a budget of $200 million, The Gray Man is by far the most expensive film ever made Netflix previously produced. For the money there’s also a lot of star power – in front of and behind the camera. On the Two proven filmmakers, Anthony and Joe Russo, take the director’s chair. As a reminder, we have them to thank for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and of course, Avengers: Endgame.

For quite a few Marvel fans, the best films from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) to date. Financially a complete success and responsible for several billion US dollars in revenue. The Russo brothers take a break from the comic world and try their hand at an agent and action thriller with “The Gray Man”. However, if you think about it, her first Marvel film (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) was basically more of a political and action thriller.

Even before Netflix customers see the film, there will be a so-called limited theatrical release from July 15th. Translated: The film only runs in a few cinemas in order to qualify for any film awards. The general public will then be able to watch the film as part of a standard Netflix subscription starting Friday, July 22, 2022. Is the movie worth it? Can’t say at the moment. Since the film hasn’t been released yet, it doesn’t have an IMDb or Rotten Tomatoes rating yet. But of course the expectations are extremely high. The stakes are high for both Netflix and the Russo brothers.
