Microsoft Teams gets premium version: the most important features
Microsoft has proposed a Premium plan for Teams, its video conferencing app. In exchange for a monthly fee you can access a suite of advanced features to personalize meetings, secure their content or add translation. These are the main functions.

Microsoft Teams Premium
Microsoft wants to monetize its Teams video conferencing software. This is evident from a blog post in which it presents its Premium subscription. This gives users extra functions on top of the possibilities of Teams and they are mainly interesting for companies, organizations and associations.
In its blog post, Microsoft already shares the most important features. With Premium you can use your own brand, backgrounds and scenes for meetings. Microsoft also wants to enable personalized meeting invitations with special reminders.
Security and statistics
Microsoft also wants to better protect the content of meetings and this allows Premium users to place watermarks on the screen. For example, when someone takes a screenshot of a presentation in Teams, it is visible afterwards. Teams Premium meetings also work with end-to-end encryption. So the content is encrypted.
Teams Premium also has a virtual dashboard for appointments. It shows you the schedule of meetings, the queue and all kinds of useful statistics about meetings. For example, you can keep track of the waiting time for a meeting, but also which invitees have not participated.

In addition, Teams Premium builds on the closed captioning function that is already available. Teams can translate subtitles in real time for meeting participants thanks to artificial intelligence.
Finally, there are custom features for webinars. For example, there is a system that makes registrations possible, a waiting list with which you manually admit people, a virtual one green cream for speakers and special settings that change the rights of participants.
Availability
Teams Premium is not part of the Microsoft 365 subscription by default. Instead, it is an extra addon of Microsoft 365 for which you pay monthly. It is not yet known how much the formula will cost.
