Microsoft publishes the first pre-release version of Windows 11 for insiders
Windows insiders can now install the first preview version of the upcoming Microsoft operating system Windows 11. The registration for this is done quickly.
Becoming a Windows Insider is not difficult. A Microsoft account with online connection and an installed and validly licensed Windows 10 are sufficient to register for the free Insider program. What not everyone will like is that it is also necessary to grant Microsoft extensive data analysis access to your own computer, otherwise you will not even be able to access the builds.
In addition, it is important to meet the not entirely insignificant minimum requirements of the new system with your own computer before you can take a look at Microsoft’s pride and joy.

Microsoft publishes the first preview in the “fast” dev channel
Anyone who is already an Insider aka beta tester can now install the first preview build aka beta version of the upcoming Windows 11 on their device. This can be done either via the menu item “Windows Insider Program” in the system settings or manually by installing the software available for download ISO file respectively.
The first preview is distributed via the dev channel under build 22000.51, so it still has the stability that the preview would qualify for the “safer” beta channel. Accordingly, at the start of the first preview, Microsoft has a long list of known problems and expected difficulties at the end the almost euphoric announcement post set to start the Windows 11 Insider Program.
These mainly include small problems such as a greenish flickering when calling up the system settings or incomplete preview windows when hovering over the taskbar. A number of other, mainly optical bumps accompany the beta tester’s path.
SDK for developers and preview of the upcoming Office also available
The first version of the Windows Insider SDK for Windows 11 is available for developers. This means that apps for Windows 11 can also be developed on the ARM architecture.
A preview of the upcoming Office is also already available for Office insider. The design is strongly adapted to Windows 11.
Despite the relatively early availability of a first preview version, Windows 11 is not just around the corner. As the manufacturer made clear on the occasion of the first presentation last week, a start on user PCs cannot be assumed before the beginning of 2022.
