Microsoft is releasing the game two weeks early – for free
Microsoft made a strange slip up in the Xbox store: The company not only released an upcoming game two weeks before the planned release, but also incorrectly published it completely free of charge.
For a short time, Xbox gamers could upcoming racing game Blaze and the Monster Machines: Reifenhausen racing drivers for free from the Xbox Store download and play on their consoles. The problem with this: The game was not supposed to be released until October – and was by no means intended as a free game.
Xbox Store: Racing game is being released too early
Blaze and the Monster Machines: Reifenhausen is a racing driver arcade and family-friendly racing game that is scheduled for October 1st for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox consoles to appear. The Microsoft platforms obviously couldn’t wait for the release, because the game from Studio Outright Games was available in the shop a good two weeks before the release due to a bug.
The wrong price made the misstep even more embarrassing for Microsoft – and was certainly a nasty surprise for the developer. Blaze and the Monster Machines: Microsoft must take back game
When the bug was discovered, various players had already downloaded Blaze and the Monster Machines to their Xbox consoles – there are even achievement videos for the game on YouTube. Microsoft subsequently canceled the purchase of the game and removed the racing game from affected accounts. The game can currently still be found in the Xbox Store, but it cannot be pre-ordered.
