Microsoft integrates ChatGPT and Dall-E in the cloud
Microsoft has integrated the AI programs ChatGPT and Dall-E into its cloud. With the so-called Azure OpenAi Service, other companies can now request access to the artificial intelligence in order to use it for their own purposes.
ChatGPT is currently causing a sensation. Because the AI chatbot can write texts that can hardly be distinguished from human ones. Artificial intelligence is therefore considered to be quite controversial. However, Microsoft has now announced that the company has integrated both the OpenAI services ChatGPT and Dall-E into its cloud, among other things.

The software company announced this in one go official blog post on. The “Azure OpenAI Service” cloud is therefore available to other companies with immediate effect. In future, they will be able to apply for access to the AI programs in order to use them for their own purposes. Microsoft writes:
Customers of all sizes and industries use the Azure OpenAI Service to do more with less, improve end-user experiences, and increase internal operational efficiencies.
Software company OpenAI has previously made its AI tools ChatGPT, Dall-E and Codex available as open source software. This means that third parties could publicly view and change the source code of the programs.
Microsoft intensifies partnership with OpenAI
Microsoft has now intensified its partnership with OpenAI for integration into its Azure OpenAI Service cloud service. According to reports, the Windows group even wants to invest ten billion US dollars in OpenAI.
In contrast to open source software, however, the AI tools in the Azure cloud would contain “reliable and company-specific functions (e.g. compliance and security)” according to Microsoft. The cloud version of ChatGPT would also be based on GPT 3.5, an improved version of the previous GPT-3 software.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is of the opinion that AI tools such as ChatGPT, Dall-E and Codex will play an important economic role in the future. The company therefore provides the services hourly or by payment via token via an Azure account. The Windows group has one price overview created.
Microsoft announced that they wanted to deal responsibly with the topic of artificial intelligence. However, critics complain that the AI tools are quite questionable.
For example, the city of New York recently banned the use of Chat GPT in public schools over fears of negative effects on learning. The online magazine CNET meanwhile had its financial articles written by the AI and – contrary to the promises of the search engine – achieved good Google results.
