Microsoft gives in and lets you play even more games

A month ago Microsoft finally made the new Edge browser available to Xbox players, which brought some interesting possibilities with it. Now there is a new function: Xbox players can now also use Nvidia GeForce Now via the browser and thus stream PC games directly to the console.

Nvidia GeForce Now: Streaming service now also available on Xbox

The new Edge browser, which was installed on the Xbox consoles with an update, not only runs faster than its predecessor – it also offers some new features. For example, Xbox players have been able to use the browser since its introduction about a month ago to use Discord or to stream games via Google Stadia.

However, another streaming service was not yet compatible with the Edge browser: Nvidia GeForce Now. Now Microsoft has apparently given in and still offers support for the competing service (source: Nvidia).

For Xbox gamers, this means that in the future, they too will have a Stream a wide range of their PC games from Steam or Epic Games on Xbox – including games that are not even available for consoles. In addition, Nvidia expands the selection of supported games every Thursday.

It’s not just the Xbox Series X that is still being bought by scalpers, the nasty sellers don’t stop in front of a console-style refrigerator either – more on that in the GIGA headlines:

The console crisis continues to bother players

Although the PS5 and Xbox Series X have been on the market for almost a year now, Both consoles are almost always sold out everywhere even today. Only the significantly cheaper Xbox Series S can still be bought without any problems.

And apparently the hardware crisis will be with us for a long time. According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, the situation will probably not improve in 2021, AMD boss Lisa Su assumes that the chip shortage will persist until summer 2022. But maybe there is a way to secure the coveted consoles on Black Friday. We keep our fingers crossed!
