MediaTek Dimensity 9200 is powerhouse processor as competitor to Snapdragon

Qualcomm faces serious competition from MediaTek with its Snapdragon processors. The Taiwanese chip manufacturer presents the new Dimensity 9200 chipset, which we should see in high-end smartphones.

MediaTek has presented its latest high-end chipset; the MediaTek Dimensity 9200. In terms of specifications, this model has to compete with other processors, including of course those from Qualcomm. With the Dimensity 9200 processor, the performance is further increased for even better performance. The computing power of the 9200 is 3.05 GHz once, 2.85 GHz three times and 1.8 GHz four times. A new X3 core is used. MediaTek has made the chip on 4nm, the second generation TSMC.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip supports up to two 5K displays at 60Hz, WHQD at 144Hz and 1080p Full-HD at 240Hz. It is also the first chipset to support WiFi 7 with a data transfer rate of up to 6.5 Gbps. Of course there is also 5G and you can set up connections with Bluetooth 5.3.

We are expected to see the first devices with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset at the end of this year.
