A new update for the Huawei P30 Pro is now being rolled out in the Netherlands. The Huawei P30 Pro receives the EMUI 12 update with a lot of changes.

The Huawei P30 Pro is one of the best-selling devices from the Chinese manufacturer. Unfortunately, it was also one of the last most complete smartphones. Although the hardware is still very good from Huawei, the software has been stripped down by the American sanctions; resulting in a smartphone from the manufacturer that is not interesting for our country because the Google services are missing. The fact that there are new models does not mean that Huawei has forgotten about the P30 Pro.

A new update will be rolled out for the device this week. The smartphone will receive the update to EMUI 12, but this will not be combined with Android 12. In fact; our test shows that Huawei has completely removed the name of the Android version from the menu. Also new is, for example, the new control panel. Swiping down to the left of the camera opens the notifications, by swiping down on the right of the camera you get the quick settings. The quick settings are now arranged differently on the screen. Huawei immediately provides a security update for February 2022. With a size of 4.57GB, it is also a major update.

A few things have been addressed in the interface. For example, you can use smart folders, use color tones and adjust the font more easily. The update has version EMUI 12.0.0.132 and is being rolled out widely. This means that it can take a while until every user of the more than three year old device receives the update.
