macOS 12.3: the public beta is available

In addition to offering the first public beta of iOS 15.4, Apple offers the one for macOS 12.3. It comes 24 hours after the developer release. Of course, both versions have the same changes.

First public beta for macOS 12.3

The main new feature in macOS 12.3 (and iPadOS 15.4) is support for the Universal Control feature. Now all you need is a single keyboard with mouse or trackpad to control a Mac and an iPad, or even several. Move the cursor from your Mac to your iPad. Type text on your Mac and see it appear on your iPad. And you can even drag content from one Mac to another.

Universal Command should have seen the light of day with the first version of macOS Monterey, but Apple has announced an initial delay of a few months. There was then a second postponement with a release announced for the spring. This will indeed be the case, knowing that it is now available in beta.

Another new feature of macOS 12.3 is the addition of 37 new Emojis. The list can be found on this dedicated article.

If your Mac is configured to receive public betas, go to System Preferences > Software Update. You will be able to download the first public beta of macOS 12.3. If not and you want to join the program, go to beta.apple.com, log in with your Apple account and follow the instructions.
