macOS 11.2: the third release candidate is available
Apple is offering a third release candidate (RC) of macOS 11.2 on Mac tonight for developers. It arrives a few days after the previous release candidate.
The first release candidate of macOS 11.2 was released on January 21, last Thursday. Apple then offered a second version on January 25 and here we are with a third version tonight. The change between this and the previous one should be more than slight, since the build number is 20D64. It was 20D62 for Monday’s version.
Apple does not say what the changes are with the third release candidate of macOS 11.2. It is very likely that developers and testers will not notice anything in actual use. Until then, here are the changes that the final version will propose (which should not be late):
- Improves Bluetooth reliability
- External displays could display a black screen when connected to a Mac mini M1 using an HDMI to DVI adapter
- Changes made to Apple ProRaw photos in the Photos app might not be saved
- iCloud Drive could shut down after turning off Desktop and Documents Folders option
- System Preferences might not unlock when entering your administrator password
- The “Globe” key could not display the “Emoji & Symbols” pane when pressed
If your Mac is configured to receive betas, go to System Preferences and then click Software Update. You will be able to download the third release candidate of macOS 11.2.
