MacBook Pro M2: Apple now offers all the options
Apple has unblocked the situation regarding RAM and storage options on the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip, which has been available for pre-order for 2 p.m. Initially, the manufacturer offered only a few models.
Thus, it was possible to buy the MacBook Pro M2 at 1,599 euros (8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage), the model at 1,829 euros with 512 GB of storage and the model with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage at 2,519 euros. But all the other variants were not available, without anyone really knowing why. This is now fixed and you can choose the options you are interested in.
If you choose the basic model, you will be delivered on June 24, which is next Friday. On the other hand, the deadlines get carried away if you start taking options. Take 16 GB of RAM and delivery will be on July 1st. If you want 24GB, you’ll have to wait until August 1st. For storage, simply taking 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB bumps delivery to July 1.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is identical to the previous model, except that it features the M2 chip. Apple announces a performance gain of around 18% for the CPU part (processor), 35% for the GPU part (graphics) and 40% for the Neural Engine.
The computer is available for purchase at Apple and at the following retailers:
