M1 MacBook Air screen can just break

There are stories of users who complain about the fact that the screen of the M1 MacBook Air can break very quickly.

Caution is advised if you have an M1 MacBook Air or Pro. The display of the laptops appears to be susceptible to cracks or other damage. How big this problem really is, it’s hard to say. On forums, however, several users complain about issues with their own copy.

There are several topics on this subject in the Apple Support forum, among others. Even if you are careful with the laptop, problems can occur. For example, someone writes that the screen of the M1 MacBook Air suddenly broke on one night. This concerns two small cracks in the screen, which made the display function less well.

What makes things worse is that Apple doesn’t cover such damage under warranty. They went to the store with this problem. There it was said after investigation that the screen broke after being touched with something. You may have caused this type of damage yourself and therefore has nothing to do with the warranty, but is more an insurance issue. Provided you have taken out insurance for your laptop, of course.

So far there are several dozen similar complaints on forums. So it certainly seems to be a real problem. But how big cannot be said. (via Apple Insider)
