Long-awaited shooter is killed by EA

Although the two Titanfall games were never particularly successful, a loyal fan base has formed, especially around the second part, which is still hoping for a sequel. These hopes are apparently in vain, because EA has now pulled the plug on a previously unannounced Titanfall game.

Publisher is Electronic Arts notorious for canceling games or liquidating studios. And especially lately, the video game giant has once again lived up to its reputation.

The US company recently announced that the mobile offshoot of Apex Legends will soon die. In the same context, the not yet published mobile game for Battlefield was buried.

But that is not enough. Now it has also become known that the development of a new Titanfall game was also canceled:

Titanfall Legends should, according to media reports a new single player shooter and would certainly have fulfilled the wishes of many fans. As is well known, the community has been hoping for a third part for years.

Apex Legends is more important than Titanfall Legends

Not much is known about the game. After all, it was never officially presented to the public.

The 50 employeeswho worked on Titanfall Legends are now being pushed to other games from the company.

Among them is Apex Legends. The battle royale shooter has been on the market since 2019 and has grown in recent years to become a permanent fixture in the highly competitive genre.

However, if you don’t feel like multiplayer shooters and longed for a similar single-player experience as in Titanfall 2, is now empty.

By the way, if you missed Titanfall 2, you should change that if possible. After all, the campaign of the game is considered Prime example of an outstanding shooter story.

Titanfall 2 is regularly on sale on Steam. So it’s worth the game on the wishlist to pack. Alternatively, you can also play the shooter via EA Play. This is EA’s paid subscription service, which costs 3.99 euros per month.
