Not only Apple is planning to make the switch to easier login to websites with your iPhone. Google and Microsoft are also working hard on this. From now on you no longer need a password to log in to, for example, your iCloud on your PC or when you want to log in to Twitter or Facebook on another computer. But not only websites support the new way of logging in. Apps will also be built in more and more in the future.
The large tech companies use FIDO (Fast Identity Online) for this. It is a standard devised by the big tech companies (such as Apple, Google and Microsoft) to make logging in more secure and easier.
