Lies of P – -apkrig
When FromSoftware released Demon’s Souls in 2009, it would probably be hard for developers or gamers to bet that the genre will become almost mainstream in the future. Dozens of various souls-like titles with more and less success have been released over the years, some with a sufficient number of their own ideas, others slavishly copying the atmosphere and playability of more successful and famous predecessors in the hope of scraping their place in the sun.
One of the projects that will try to do this in the future is Lies of P. He cannot be denied at least a completely original plot, because the wooden boy Pinocchio himself will appear in the main role. But she won’t be nearly as cute a puppet as you might think, based on a Disney adaptation or a wooden joker from Shrek.
The action RPG Lies of P will take place during the belle époque period in an abandoned city called Krat. Virtually all the inhabitants are lost and the city has become a real hell on Earth. Pinocchio must walk through its dangerous streets and find his puppeteer and carver Gepetto to find out what actually happened to him and the world around him.
On your gloomy journey, you will make improvised weapons from found materials and meet the last handful of survivors. An interesting mechanism is supposed to be Pinocchio’s characteristic lying, which is also imprinted in the name of the game. Only this time it won’t be about nose growth (or anything else). The more you lie in the game, the more your homuncle will become a person with all the advantages and disadvantages that result from it.
The first trailer is reminiscent of Bloodborne, but also Vampyra from the Dontnod studio. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not know when Lies of P will reach our screens, but in addition to the PC, it is also aimed at the current generation of consoles.
