LG TVs run on webOS. There’s already Apple Music, the Apple TV app, HomeKit, and AirPlay on several models. Here we are talking about webOS Hub, which is a platform offered by LG to other TV manufacturers. The televisions in question may have an experience more or less similar to what is found on LG televisions. It is these TVs that are now affected by the arrival of Apple services.
Access to Apple Music will allow streaming music. The catalog is well supplied, Apple announced last October to have 100 million songs in total. For Apple TV, there is the possibility of buying and renting films and series, as well as taking advantage of the Apple TV+ streaming service to watch original content.
The update will also add support for AirPlay and HomeKit, although the availability of these features will be limited to webOS Hub 2.0. This hub is used in OLED TVs and 4K TVs, so users will need to check what’s available from their manufacturer.
webOS Hub is used by 200 brands offering televisions. The update with Apple services is being rolled out.
