The portal warns at the outset that the novelty is just a rebranded version of the recently introduced Sharp Aquos R6 smartphone. This means that it also offers the same 1-inch camera sensor with an f / 1.9 aperture and a focal length of 19 millimeters. The resolution is 20 megapixels. The shape of the photomodule in this case does not have a square shape, but round with the possibility of fitting it with the original cover.
The selfie camera in the hole of the display has 12.6 megapixels. The diagonal of the IGZO OLED display is 6.6 inches, the resolution is 2730 x 1260 pixels and the adaptive refresh rate is 240 Hz (actually only 120 Hz). The display also has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The OLED display should also be adapted to the Android 11 superstructure by its monochrome design.
The operating system also drives the latest 5 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 12 GB RAM. The 256 GB internal memory can be expanded with microSD cards up to 1 TB. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh. The silver metallic body is covered on both sides with tempered glass and meets the water resistance of IP68 certification. Its thickness is 9.5mm and weight 212 grams.
Leica will ask for a thousand dollars more for its logo than Sharp
The main difference compared to the Sharp Aquos R6 model is the price. The German brand Leica will have an additional $ 1,000 paid for its logo. While the Sharp Aquos R6 costs less than $ 700 in the Japanese market, the Leitz Phone 1 costs $ 1,700. Pre-orders start on June 18 and the sale itself in July.
