Latest Garmin Forerunner watches have AMOLED screen
Garmin has announced its latest Forerunner watches. These are the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965 that follow last year’s Forerunner 255 and 955 with, among other things, an AMOLED screen.

Garmin Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965
Garmin usually equips its watches with a so-called memory-in-pixel (MIP) screen instead of an AMOLED screen. Apparently, the manufacturer wants to enter the waters of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Apple Watch 8 and now also provides its popular Forerunner series for runners with AMOLED screens.

Both the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965 have such a colorful AMOLED screen and the latter takes it a step further. The Forerunner 965 also features a new titanium bezel, housing Garmin’s largest 1.4-inch AMOLED display.
Now you may think that an AMOLED screen is at the expense of battery life. According to Garmin, that is not the case. In smartwatch mode, the Forerunner 265 has a battery life of up to fifteen days and the Forerunner 965 lasts up to twenty-three days in this mode.

Run better
Both watches should help you get better, faster and more efficient for a running race. For example, with the Forerunner 265 and 965 you can view performance such as VO2 max, performance condition and the training effect. There are also training plan options that allow you to receive daily suggested workouts by entering race information into the Garmin Connect calendar. The free Garmin Coach schedules and PacePro are also back.
Monitor health
Garmin also thinks about your well-being and the heart rate sensor in the watches measures your oxygen saturation in your blood. The Forerunners monitor your Body Battery energy levels throughout the day. In addition, they have sleep monitoring with sleep score, stress monitoring and monitoring of the menstrual cycle or pregnancy. You can also receive smart notifications, download music from Spotify and listen to it without a phone. Falling while running is detected by the accident detection function and with Garmin Pay you can pay contactless at the checkout.
