Kojima apparently worked on a horror play for Stadia -apkrig
Since the end of 2019, we have informed you several times about the desire of designer Hide Kojima, to create here in the future the scariest game of all time. The famous developers spoke about this for the first time on their Twitter, he mentioned the horror game in an interview for the BAFTA awards website in a few months, and we probably wouldn’t count how many times Kojim’s statements were used in various speculations. The most common were, of course, reflections on the development of Silent Hill and guaranteed messages they were often very elaborate and sounded believable. However, it is now becoming clear that the designer’s horror project had nothing to do with the famous series and was to be created for Stadia as an episodic play of its own.
Sources say that people from the Japanese studio were enthusiastic about the concept of cloud gaming, but the mutual agreement took over last year.
The information was provided by the Video Games Chronicle magazine, which returns to the recent end of the internal development activities of the Google Stadium division. VGC claims that a number of games have been in development, including a sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet by the now defunct Typhoon Studios, a multiplayer game from a former producer of games such as Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed, and the aforementioned Kojim episode horror. “Sources say that people from the Japanese studio were enthusiastic about the concept of cloud gaming, a mutual agreement [o vývoji hry] but she took on the role of Stadie general manager Phil Harrison last year, ”says VGC. It is therefore possible that Hide Kojima’s statement from last summer that one of his larger projects would be canceled has to do with the case under discussion today, although the Kojima Productions developers did not provide any official opinion.
The only ones who commented on the VGC’s information were Harmonix representatives, who also had a contract with Stadii and were developing a title for the platform. Given the portfolio of these developers, it is not surprising that VGC is talking about an emerging music game, which, however, would not have met such a bad fate as the play of Hide Kojima. Harmonix CEO Steve Janiak said the game was not canceled, and unless an agreement was reached with the Stadium, the title would simply arrive on other platforms. However, the people from Typhoon Studios, who became part of the Google Stadium family and their team was disbanded in early February, cannot say the same. In addition, the whole situation led to a very bizarre point where Journey to the Savage Planet had no one to fix at the Stadium.
But if we are to return to Hide Kojima’s horror play and speculation that it should have been Silent Hill, the situation around the possible continuation of this series has been evolving in several places in recent days. In addition to the Stadium and the alleged confirmation that Kojima had nothing to do with the brand after the termination of cooperation with Konami, the development activities of Japan Studio belonging to Sony were also significantly limited. This, too, has often been inflected in connection with Silent Hill, but after the departure of Keiichir Toyama’s spiritual father last year, this alternative does not seem likely either…
