From a gift for the teacher to a friendly request to collect empty toilet rolls: the messages are flying around your ears in an average class app. Radio DJ and comedian Klaas van der Eerden is sick of it.

The good news: Now that his youngest child is in high school, he can put the class app phase behind him once and for all.

Leave class app

Klaas is in the well-known class app together with other parents. “With us you really have a kind of ‘grandmother’, shall I say, who arranges it all. He often answers things, because he knows more than the rest,” he says on Radio 538. Not only are questions about topography subject matter, but bullying behavior is also discussed in detail. Now that his children have finished primary school, Klaas can officially leave the class app. And he’s not sorry about that. “I have to say, the last six months I thought: now it has been nice. I think it’s a good time to get out of this app group.”

Hilarious Farewell Phrase

And because he’s the first parent to leave the class app, he likes to do it in a fun way. According to him, you can easily spice up the automatic message ‘Klaas has left the group’ by pasting a sentence in front of it. And immediately one after the other parting sentence comes on the table. How about: ‘In a few minutes you’ll probably hate me… Klaas has left the group’ or ‘I’m so glad I can leave this hypocritical group behind me… Klaas has left the group’. But the biggest contender comes from a listener: ‘It is remarkable how much energy you have consumed, Klaas has left the group.’
