Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning – Fatesworn
Fantasy RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning celebrates its tenth birthday on February 9th. The new developers at the helm, however, could not wait for a significant anniversary and the expansion for the game will be released later this month. Although, true, this is not an extension of the original game, but last year’s remaster Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, so it doesn’t really matter.
So let’s take a look at what’s in Fatesworn. There really isn’t much. The story takes you to a snowy tundra called Mithros with its caves pierced by caves, where you will stand up to the minions of the god of chaos Telogrus himself.
You will learn new non-combat skills, wear one of six new sets of armor, equip yourself with more than two dozen weapons and shields, learn to work with chaos as a new game mechanism, go on countless side missions, visit 25 dungeons, there are cities, villages, procedurally generated underground, you will meet old and new faces and much more.
The main storyline should take you at least six hours, with new music from the award-winning composer Grant Kirkhope. Fatesworn expansion for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is released on December 14 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for 20 euros, or together with a special edition of remaster for 55 euros. The press release does not mention the Switch version at all, so it will probably arrive later.
