JBL’s all-in-one soundbar with Assistant now for sale for 399 euros

JBL’s new Bar 5.0 MultiBeam soundbar is now for sale in the Netherlands for 399 euros. The device supports the Google Assistant and Chromecast.

JBL Bar 5.0 MultiBeam

JBL will be selling its new Bar 5.0 MultiBeam starting today. It is a soundbar with three drivers on the front and two on the back, the company says in a press release. In addition, it has four radiators and uses Harman’s MultiBeam technology for surround.

Thanks to beamforming and Virtual Dolby Atmos, this technology simulates a pair of upward-firing speakers for full surround sound. According to JBL, the device does not need an additional subwoofer due to the four radiators and the surround sound. This means that no other peripherals and additional cables are required.

The JBL Bar continues to work with the Alexa and Assistant voice assistants and the device also has Chromecast built-in. You can create a multiroom experience via the Home app. You can also stream music via Bluetooth on the soundbar. The device is also supplied with a remote control.
