Is the WhatsApp group manager getting too much power?

With a new upcoming update, WhatsApp gives the group admin more power. Maybe too much?

In which WhatsApp group conversation do you have one or more group managers. Their role includes admitting or removing participants from the conversation. The ‘power’ they have is quite limited and not shocking. With an upcoming update to WhatsApp, that may just change when it comes to the group manager.

In the latest beta, version 2.22.1.1, of WhatsApp, the group manager gets more powers, WABetaInfo noted. The group admin or admins can remove chats from the conversations without a hitch. So suppose someone makes a contribution and the administrator does not like this, then this text can be removed. All participants in the conversation will see that a message has not been deleted by the sender, but in this case by the administrator. As a result, there is a bit of transparency and you can ask the group manager for text and explanation. Should this be necessary.

As mentioned, the feature is still packaged in a beta. The public version will come to WhatsApp sooner or later. When is not yet known. The update is somewhat controversial, because the WhatsApp group manager will not get too much power? Opinions will differ.
