iPhone app puts every thief to flight

Alarm systems are found in automobiles and homes. With the interesting app “iSafeCharge+” you can now get one directly on your iPhone or iPad. Normally, the practical helper that puts every thief to flight costs just under a euro. However, the app is currently available free of charge for a short time.

The basic idea of ”iSafeCharge+” briefly explained. You open the app, plug in your charging cable, choose the volume of the alarm and arm the alarm system with “Go”. Of course, you can also lock the iPhone afterwards. If the lighting cable is now pulled, the alarm goes off. This also worked very reliably in our short test.

Alternatively, the motion sensor can be used instead of the charging cable. Then the alarm sounds as soon as the iPhone is moved briefly. This worked quite reliably in the test, but not really when the iPhone was locked. Here you would have to leave your mobile phone unprotected, as it is not locked – not a good idea. However, we did not notice any problems when using the charging cable. Ergo: This should be the preferred scenario. This is practical, for example, if you charge your iPhone in public places – open-plan offices, airports, train stations, etc.

“iSafeCharge+” normally costs EUR 0.99 in the Apple App Store and can be used with both the iPhone and the iPad. There are no ads or in-app purchases. Free actually means no cost associated.

As always, before downloading please check the price as it is not known how long the app will be free this time:

Opinion among the users of “iSafeCharge+”

But what do previous users say about the app? The German App Store has a rather average result – 3.8 out of a maximum of 5 possible stars with currently manageable 16 ratings. Already better in the US store. The app received a reasonable 4.3 out of 5 stars from almost 80 ratings. A user writes specifically:

Does what it should
So I have an iPhone X, the app does what it is supposed to. When there is an alarm, swipe to the middle and exit the app. Just like any other app. The sound cannot be changed or switched off in the event of an alarm unless you know how to do it. But think that thieves may be so surprised that they don’t expect it. It’s a great gadget for free.

Bottom line: You can and should try it out, as already mentioned, the app works particularly reliably with a charging cable. You were last able to dust off the app in May. If you missed this opportunity, now is the time to grab it.
